No one ever will hate this cheesy ball; it is perfect for a gourmet and simple taste people.
You can serve is a snack for kids or a side in a grown-up gathering.
Many recipes out there claim to have the tastiest cheese balls, but mine will take you back to the basics delicious in taste, easy to make. So without further do let me show you how.
2 cups of all-purpose flour.
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoon dry yeast
1 spoon olive oil
100 g of white Feta cheese
50 g of Halloumi
Cut and mix the cheese together
2 TB Olive oil
1 TB Zaatar
Making the Dough
Starting with the dough, mix your dry yeast to warm water and let it sit while you start adding the flour to a large mixing bowl. Combine the salt, black pepper, and flour all together using your hand or a fork. Once it’s all mixed, bring your yeast and add it to the bowl, with it add warm water till all comes to a dough form. Add little olive oil on the top and let it rest for at least 2 hours in a warm place while covering it with a plastic wrap.
Making the cheese balls
Take a scoop from the dough and shape it like a ball then with your finger make a hole in the middle. Place the cheese mix in the center and gently close the dough back together to make a ball, ensure that the ball is fully closed, and no cheese is outside.
Preheat the oven to 200 c for 15 min.
Use Parchment paper on your tray to avoid sticking.
Place the cheese balls on the tray and add the olive oil and zaatar mix to the top.
Bake them for 30 min at 180 C adjust time as needed.
Note: You can fry them, but this is an easier and healthier way.
