Who won’t love this tasty recipe, we all crave it at some point but we feel that it could be quite difficult to prepare this Greek/ Turkish dish. I am here today to let you know all the secrets so you can make Spinach Pie at home.
All you need is a few ingredients that are mostly available at every house. You can add or remove ingredients as you please like always but for me, I like to stick to the original ingredients for this one. so without furthermore
let’s start with Spanakopita pie.

Spinach Pie, Spanakopita, Borek Turkish-Style Spinach, and Cheese Pie all names for one Dish This delicious combo of spinach and cheese will satisfy all your senses, originally it’s from Greece but many people thought the years played with the recipe and made it their own, what I will be doing today is inspired by the Turkish Cuisine.
What i love about this spinach pie is the ingredient, you can find them easly at you house.
Cooking time: 25-30 Minutes
Serving: 4 people
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Lightly oil a square baking pan.
- In a bowl add veggie oil, milk, and one egg stir them all together.
- In a blow mix your feta and ricotta cheese.
Cook Your Spinach
Start by adding your oil to a pan on medium heat, together with you minced onion after 2 minutes add your spinach till its well-cooked, now add the garlic, salt, and pepper cook all for about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
Let’s Do It
Bring you square pan and add a layer of 3 filo dough, this will be your base, now spread a layer of half you spinach and half your cheese, add 2 layers of filo dough, then again a layer of spinach then filo dough a layer of cheese then layer of 3 filo dough sheets, now for the next step pour your oil milk and egg mixture on top. Tuck your pan into the oven and bake it for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cut into squares and serve.
When it’s done leave it to cool down before cutting it.
